BAH While Deployed

BAH continues at home station rate as long as you maintain dependents or a lease. Single members who give up their lease may lose BAH. Members with dependents continue full BAH plus $250/month Family Separation Allowance for deployments 30+ days.

Key: don't terminate your lease before deployment if you want to keep BAH. SCRA lets you break a lease without penalty, but doing so may cost your housing allowance.
