TDIU vs 100% Schedular

Different paths to the same pay rate

Both pay the 100% rate ($3,938.58/month in 2026). 100% schedular: your combined rating equals 100% on the VA schedule. No employment restriction.

TDIU: your combined rating is below 100% (typically 60–90%) but you can't work due to service-connected conditions. Employment restricted — earning above poverty level may trigger reduction.

100% schedular is strictly better if achievable. TDIU is the path for veterans who are unemployable but whose ratings don't mathematically reach 100%.
